The Nutcracker!

Last week we had the pleasure of attending the Nutcracker at the Irving Arts Center.  Like the classy folks we are we stopped at McDonald's before the show.  I thought I was doing a good thing by putting the girls in the Christmas dresses that Aunt Linda bought them.  How could I forget that Juliana does NOT like being in a dress.  I even tried to fool her by putting the dress over a pair of jeans instead of tights to make her think it was a long shirt.  Look at that face, do you think she was fooled?
And yes, I will have you know that as soon as the dress came off, her amazing smile came back!
And here is Livi of course thrilled to be in a dress, tights and a gold purse containing nothing but her chapstick.

And here are the girls right before the show!  (Roger was there too but he was taking the picture)
Juliana slept through Act I, but seemed to enjoy Act II.  Olivia enjoyed the whole thing and definitely sparked her love for dance again.  She has been begging to go back to dance class and has taken her tap shoes out of retirement.  After the show, this little girl who performed in the ballet came out to meet her family.  Livi ran up like a crazed fan and asked to take her picture with her.  So cute!

  1. Their dresses are so cute. It looks like Livi is dreaming about being in the Nutcracker someday.
